Chithaloor is a small village which is in Ramanathapuram district, south India. In this village 56 poor families are living together. Since the people are uneducated, they are working as coolie for daily wages. They are also not getting job every day. The people are financially very poor. Because of lack of electricity in this village, people are not getting electricity continuously in their homes. The children are not able to do their daily home works and to study in their homes because of lack of electricity. So we have arranged Luminous Tall Tubular Battery [ with 4 years warranty ] and Luminous UPS [ 900 VA ] and kept it in the chapel of Chithaloor village to get electricity continuously.
All the children are gathering in the chapel every evening and studying together. We have also appointed a teacher to take care of all the children. Now 32 children are studying in Tom Evening Study Centre. Tom Evening study centre will start from 6.00 PM to 7.30 PM. We have provided the playing materials to all the children. We are encouraging all the children to play in the evening. We are providing pens and pencils to all the children. The parents of Chithaloor Village are very happy about Tom Evening study centre. All the parents appreciated about this project.
