WHO WE ARE?

          Anbagam Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization. It was registered on 27th July, 1995 under the Indian Trust Act 1882 for the purpose of developing the backward classes of the society. The name Anbagam means “love and service”. Whatever we have are gifts of God. If we share the gifts of God with the needy, it doubles our joy. By way of sharing we can prove that we love the poor and backward classes of the society. With this vision, we have built this Anbagam Charitable Trust. The office of Anbagam Trust is situated at Sivagangai district, Tamil Nadu in South India. Sivagangai and Ramnad districts are backward and most drought - affected civil districts. In these districts majority of the people are daily coolies. Our mission is to enhance the standard of living of poor, orphan, street dwellers and backward classes in Sivagangai and Ramnad districts.

Objectives

  • To educate the orphan, semi- orphan, abandoned, poor and destitute children.
  • To run the orphanage home for the orphan, semi- orphan, abandoned, poor and destitute students.
  • To improve unity and brotherhood among the people.
  • To conduct social awareness programs for the backward people to eradicate the social evils and social slavery.
  • To render relief and rehabilitation to people affected by natural calamities like flood, cyclone, tsunami, earth-quake etc.
  • To conduct health care camp and medical treatment for the poor, old and destitute people.
  • To establish the women organizations and fight for their women liberation.
  • To encourage and involve in programmes like Agriculture, Handicrafts and Cottage industries which will enhance the standard of living of the backward classes.
  • Sponsored becoming sponsors: To encourage and form the children to develop a helping attitude by way of sponsoring a poor child from his / her income.
  • To run the home for old and destitute people who do not have anybody to take care of them.
