COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

A. Daan's Children Parliament [A unit of Anbagam Trust]

          We have organized the children of Manakudi village and formed an Association of Children Parliament. Children [from age of 9 to 15] are eligible to be a member of this Children Parliament. They will gather in every month. The coordinator is explaining about the responsibility of every member of the Parliament, the role of Prime Minister and the other Ministers of Indian Government. In this village 18 children are in the Children Parliament. The coordinator is giving the current information about the activities of Indian Parliament. In the Children Parliament of Manakudi village, all the children have a role and responsibility and are doing very well.

B. Women Awareness program

          We are organizing the women from the remote villages. We are conducting seminars on gender equality, women in higher education, active participation in the political parties and job opportunities in the office of the government. More than 100 Women are benefitting in every Women Awareness Programs. We can realize that there is a change and progress in the life style of the women.
